Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst to support the High-Performance Buildings Services Group in Seattle. You will develop energy models, analyze data, and advise on strategies to improve efficiency and decarbonize buildings.

This role involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and building owners, performing energy audits, retro-commissioning, and net-zero planning, with a hybrid work setup requiring two in-office days per week in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction, existing buildings, and renovation projects to evaluate energy performance and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze utility consumption, building trend data, energy systems, and operational information to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate MEP systems and sustainable design strategies to support energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization goals.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, commissioning, and building optimization services, including data collection and documentation.
• Perform analyses to support net-zero energy, carbon neutrality, and decarbonization planning efforts.
• Support energy code and standards analyses under ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and California Title 24.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and client-ready deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and other stakeholders to meet schedules and quality goals.
