Job summary

State of New Hampshire’s Employment Security division seeks an experienced Local Office Manager in Laconia. The role directs Employment Service, Resource Center and Unemployment Compensation program operations, guiding staff and shaping service delivery for job seekers and employers.

The position requires 7+ years of combined education/experience, a valid driver’s license, and may offer trainee status with a path to full responsibilities within one year. Travel statewide is possible.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 7 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for statewide travel.
• Trainee option: candidates with 6+ years of relevant education and experience may be hired in trainee status within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees Local Office operations of the Employment Service, Resource Center, and Unemployment Compensation Program.
• Supervises and evaluates Local Office personnel and their activities including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Provides functional supervision to field agents, Appeals chairs, and certifying officers in the local office.
• Directs Resource Center activities to provide information and resources to job seekers, claimants, employers, and officials.
• Directs programs to identify claimants who will exhaust benefits and connect them with reemployment services.
