Job summary

The Houston Chronicle, part of Hearst Newspapers, seeks an Account Executive to grow our local advertising sales. You will manage a sales pipeline, build relationships with Houston-area advertisers, and promote digital and print advertising solutions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of B2B outside sales in advertising or media with proven revenue growth.
• Superior presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; tech savvy with Salesforce, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: call on local businesses, build new leads and own the sales cycle with support from account management.
• Develop product expertise in digital and print offerings; complete training before going on your own.
