Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced development team in Augusta, GA. You will administer Linux systems, automate deployments, and scale cloud and edge infrastructure on AWS, with on-site work at the Army customer site.

Responsibilities include container management with Kubernetes, automation with Terraform and Ansible, and collaboration with developers to integrate applications. DoD 8140/8570 compliance is required or obtainable prior to start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps Engineering or Software Development with a related bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s, or 9 years with a high school diploma.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and applying them to deployment and management.
• Experience deploying and managing applications, scaling, and infrastructure.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other dev tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of AGILE methodologies and dev tool suites.
• DoD 8140/8570 certifications (Security+) or ability to obtain before starting.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Support deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies to improve our infrastructure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
