Job summary

Breakthrough T1D is seeking a Development Manager in Illinois to lead integrated fundraising efforts for the Illinois chapter. You will cultivate donors, manage volunteers, and drive event revenue across multiple fundraising programs in a hybrid work setting.

As a senior contributor, you will partner with national teams, implement engagement plans, and ensure revenue targets are met while championing Breakthrough T1D’s mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and 5+ years in donor development or related fields.
• Five years of volunteer team recruitment, development and stewardship experience.
• Experience executing large-scale community events and revenue responsibilities > $500k.
• Strong donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills.
• Ability to travel locally; evening/weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fundraising plans to grow chapter revenue and engagement.
• Recruit, cultivate, and manage volunteers and event leadership.
• Develop audience development and donor engagement strategies at events.
• Maintain program and department policies; participate in monthly strategy meetings.
• Collaborate with national partners on budgets and pipelines.
