Job summary

Bunzl is hiring a Customer Service Representative in the Greater Chicago Area for a hybrid role that focuses on supporting assigned accounts and resolving order-related inquiries. You will be the liaison to Sales Operations and Warehouse Ops, delivering prompt, complete resolutions and maintaining high service standards.

The role emphasizes multitasking, problem solving, and effective communication to manage orders, backorders, ETA’s, and tracking while upholding Bunzl’s We Care posture.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience in a call center environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Computer literate, including MS Word, Excel, e-mail; AS 400 and ServiceNow experience a plus.
• Problem solver with the ability to multi-task using judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer problems and/or complaints to successful resolution.
• Dedicated CSR Agent handling, from start to finish, every inquiry whether via phone or email.
• Provide effective responses to all client inquiries within same business day whenever possible, and prior to 24 business hours in all cases.
• Resolve all issues to client satisfaction or elevate as needed; all while maintaining calmness and showcasing the Bunzl We Care posture.
• Enter manual replenishment orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Expedite orders as required.
• Work effectively in a team environment to meet business goals and objectives.
• Confidently assist client with eComm inquiries related to proprietary product and ordering schedules.
• Successfully multitask numerous client inquiries, all while staying within the expected SLA.
• Flexibility to work anytime between 7am – 7pm (CST), Monday - Friday.
• Excellent detail-oriented customer service skills.
