Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Operations Specialist in Hoffman Estates to coordinate customer activity from order placement through fulfillment. This is not a high-volume entry role; focus is on monitoring orders, confirming product availability, and coordinating with internal teams.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple items, maintain data accuracy in ERP/CRM, and communicate effectively with managers and leadership daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customer service, customer operations, account coordination, or related field.
• B2B customer service or customer operations experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using an ERP or CRM system is required.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Ability to coordinate information across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Effective communication with managers, customers and internal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer orders and operational activities to ensure accurate processing and fulfillment.
• Act as a communication link between customers and internal teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics).
• Monitor order status, product availability, shipping requirements and customer commitments.
• Assist with returns, claims, deductions, pricing questions and other account-related issues.
• Research discrepancies and work with Finance and Sales to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing, order and account information in ERP/related systems.
• Support EDI transactions, customer portals, system updates and testing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects and support other operational initiatives as needed.
