Job summary

Kleinschmidt Associates is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team and help develop designs and provide construction support for dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and stream restorations.

You will work with senior staff across all project stages, from concept through issued-for-construction drawings, including field data collection and CAD/GIS tasks, in a hybrid environment requiring 2–3 days in the office and some travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Engineer in Training (EIT)

Responsibilities

• Work with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued-for-bid construction drawings
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to develop solutions for renewable energy projects
• Gain specialized expertise in civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, and stream channel design for dam decommissioning and fish passage barriers
