Kleinschmidt invites an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will help develop designs and support construction for dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and stream restorations with hybrid work options and 2-3 days in-office in Portland, OR.

Salary ranges from $68,000 to $125,000 per year based on experience, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package in a fast‑growing hydropower-focused firm.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineer in Training (EIT).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior staff on all project stages from concept to construction drawings.
• Develop solutions supporting renewable energy projects and stream restorations.
• Coordinate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts.
• Site visits, field data collection, and CAD-based design work; GIS data processing.
