Job summary

Kleinschmidt Associates is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team for designs and construction support related to dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, recreation facilities, renewable energy projects, and stream restorations.

The position offers hybrid work with 2-3 days in the office, and positions across multiple locations including Portland, Oregon; Seattle, WA; Pittsfield, ME; Falmouth, ME; and Madison, WI. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from concept to bid drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts.
• Perform CAD work, hydraulic modeling and design analyses.
• Conduct site visits, field data collection, and prepare technical reports.
