Job summary

Kleinschmidt Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering designs and construction support for dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and stream restorations. Candidates should have a PE, a BS in Civil Engineering, and deep AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.

The role supports hybrid work across multiple offices in the U.S., with preference for in-office 2–3 days per week; travel may be required to client sites and project locations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with construction drawings, notes, specs, and quantity takeoffs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D including alignments and grading design.
• Experience leading civil site development for roadways, drainage, dam decommissioning/removal, stream restoration, or fish passage engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and provide construction support for dam removals and embankment repairs.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate design development, technical quality, and project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review and ensure accuracy of engineering documents and specifications.
