Job summary

Elliot Health System's Access Center is seeking an Access Center Coordinator to manage incoming calls, patient registration, prior authorizations, and scheduling with a focus on first contact resolution. Under supervision, you will document information in Epic, coordinate registrations for new patients, and collaborate with providers and internal teams to streamline access to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of healthcare experience, or 2 years of contact center environment type of work, Required.
• Prior customer service work experience, Required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and coordinate registration and scheduling for new patient appointments.
• Documents all patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information into Epic within compliance.
• Triage incoming calls, and handle professionally.
• Obtains all patient information required by the providers prior to an appointment.
• Keeps supervisor informed of issues, especially as they relate to the interaction of the department with other areas of the Health System.
