Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects across US offices. You will coordinate models across architecture, structures, roadway design, and MEP, ensuring federated, clash-checked deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading clash detection in Navisworks, enforcing CADD/BIM standards, mentoring staff, and interfacing with clients and agencies. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting technology.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel 10% or less.
• Equivalent directly related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination for architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design and MEP.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks, leading resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates and workflows per Autodesk and DOT guidelines.
• Mentor and guide production staff across offices to build capability.
• Act as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator across project lifecycle for coordination.
• Crosscheck drawings for consistency with guidelines and QC standards.
• Provide CADD/technical support, manage model health and interoperability across tools.
• Review manufacturers' prints and determine material needs with standard calculations.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on LOE and delivery scoping.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on deliverable requirements.
