Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide CADD drafting and field support for highway, urban roadway, and municipal projects. The role emphasizes both office and field work under the Transportation Group.

You will prepare plan drawings with AutoCAD and MicroStation, support PMs, and may serve as a resident project representative during construction in MN/ND. A related degree and 2–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Drafting strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience preferred.
• Willing to learn AutoCAD/Civil-3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and MicroStation Connect.
• Proficiency with Windows/Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and design layouts from sketches and surveys using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support Project Managers and Engineers in developing project plans and specifications.
• Assist with construction observation, surveying, and material testing.
• Travel and perform resident project representative duties as needed.
