Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a Service Associate/Teller hybrid for our branch. The role blends customer service on the platform with teller transactions, requiring strong multitasking and sales aptitude.

You will open deposits, process loan applications, and refer customers to other bank lines while delivering compliant, accurate service and building lasting relationships with clients at the branch.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services, or hospitality preferred.
• Some banking experience is preferred (e.g., teller).
• Ability to communicate information clearly and build relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Opens deposit accounts and processes loan applications for various lending units.
• Closes loans and makes referrals to other bank lines and third-party partners.
• Proactively engages high-value customers by phone and in person to grow the portfolio.
• Performs teller duties including deposits, cash checks, and handling monetary instruments.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and handles daily account maintenance.
• Maintains knowledge of products and services to support customers and reach quarterly sales goals.
