Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a Service Associate who will blend traditional customer service with teller responsibilities in a hybrid branch setting. You will open deposits, process loan applications, and refer customers to other bank lines while pursuing sales and service goals.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking ability, and a proactive approach to relationship building. A high school diploma is required, with 1–2 years of sales experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Some banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Simultaneously performs duties of a traditional branch customer service representative and teller.
• Opens deposit accounts and processes loan applications for various lending units.
• Closes loans for customers and makes referrals to other bank lines and partners.
• Proactively reaches out to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Handles daily account maintenance and adheres to policy for compliance.
• Supports achievement of quarterly sales goals.
