Job summary

Eastern Bank seeks a Service Associate to blend customer service on the platform with teller transactions in our Massachusetts branches. The role supports sales and transactional duties in a hybrid arrangement.

The candidate will handle deposits, loan applications, and referrals, while delivering accurate, friendly service in line with bank policies. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of sales or customer‑facing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services or hospitality preferred.
• Some banking experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships across the organization.
• Comfort with technology and handling cash and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Simultaneously performs duties of customer service representative and teller.
• Process deposits, cash checks, loan payments, and foreign currency where applicable.
• Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units.
• Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners.
• Achieve quarterly sales and maintain operational compliance with policies.
