Job summary

ABB's B&R Industrial Automation unit is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of designers and engineers delivering automation and industrial controls solutions. The role reports to the Director Engineering & Services, Americas and involves resource planning, project oversight, and continual process improvement.

The position is hybrid with a preferred location in Alpharetta, GA, and requires 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in automation, industrial controls, programming or similar industry preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time; Passport required.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Delivers technical automation solutions according to customer requirements and engages in customer meetings to drive growth.
• Allocates resources effectively to balance workload and optimize team productivity.
• Oversees project planning, execution, and closure to meet scope, schedule, budget, and manage technical risks.
• Drives team performance to ensure on-time deliverables while meeting contract specs, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
