Job summary

NextGear Capital, a Cox Automotive brand, is seeking an Auction Specialist to join our Customer Care team. The role involves handling inbound calls and emails about day-to-day operations of universal source auctions, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (3 days remote, 2 onsite with Thursday onsite requirement) and hours roughly 9:00 AM–8:00 PM EST, with occasional overtime and weekend holidays not

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3+ years in a related field, or higher degree with up to 1 year experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with clear customer interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving team environment and prioritize tasks.
• Must have high-speed internet and a wired connection (no Wi‑Fi).
• Proficiency with Windows and basic home networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and emails from Automotive Auctions and internal departments.
• Answer routine questions, follow guidelines, and use judgment based on experience.
• Provide accurate documentation of auction inquiries in the system.
• Refer complex issues to senior specialists or management.
• Build relationships and work with other departments to resolve inquiries.
• Attend to production, quality, and metric standards including low error rate.
