Job summary

NextGear Capital, a Cox Automotive brand, is seeking an Auction Specialist to join our Customer Care team in a hybrid role (3 days remote, 2 days onsite). Responsibilities include handling inquiries via calls and emails, applying auction policies, and building strong relationships with automotive auctions.

Hours are mainly 9:00 AM–8:00 PM EST with occasional overtime. Requires HS diploma or GED and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers
• Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving team environment
• Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical skills
• Must have high-speed internet at home and wired connection
• Knowledge of Windows PC operation and home networking basics

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and emails from automotive auctions and internal departments
• Answer routine questions and follow guidelines using sound judgment
• Engage with auctions to determine how to assist them
• Learn automotive auction processes and policies
• Build relationships with customers through questions and active listening
• Document auction inquiries accurately in the system
• Make outbound calls to assist with business needs
• Refer complex issues to senior specialists or management
• Use proprietary software for research, data entry, and follow-up
• Maintain production and quality metrics and adhere to policies
