Job summary

Genuine Parts Co. is seeking a Customer Relations Specialist – Accounts Receivable to manage a portfolio of past-due customer accounts.

You will initiate outbound collection calls, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with Sales, Credit, and Operations to resolve disputes while upholding collections policies. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AR collections, strong PeopleSoft and MS Office skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ticketing/workflow systems (ServiceNow).
• Proficiency with 10-key and accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound collection calls to customers based on assigned account portfolio.
• Negotiate payment arrangements per collection policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all communications in the system.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize accounts to meet targets.
• Escalate complex issues to leadership or Legal as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Credit, and Operations to resolve disputes.
