Job summary

Circular Services, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to support the full AR and AP cycles within the Accounting team in Jersey City, NJ. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and timely processing of invoices and payments.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of AR/AP experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a detail-oriented, proactive approach. Hybrid work arrangements and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or a related accounting function.
• Solid understanding of AR/AP processes, basic accounting principles, and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer and vendor transactions.
• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and contractual terms.
• Process and apply customer payments (ACH, wires, checks) and resolve unapplied cash.
• Monitor AR aging and coordinate collections with customers.
• Review and code vendor invoices, obtain approvals, and allocate to GL.
• Prepare and coordinate vendor payments per schedules and controls.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues.
• Investigate disputes with Operations and Accounting, and support monthly close.
• Prepare AR/AP reports and provide updates to management.
• Maintain records and internal controls; support process improvements across locations.
