Related Affordable is seeking a detail‑oriented AP Specialist to process accounts payable, manage payments, and support vendor onboarding across a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and collaboration with Operations and Accounting teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Knowledge of affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, Project Based Section 8) preferred.
• Experience with Yardi/JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately per policies and timelines.
• Manage payments including checks, electronic payments, wires, escrow, and reissued payments.
• Support centralized invoice coding and routing for timely processing.
• Maintain organized documentation for all payment transactions.
• Process vendor setup requests and maintain vendor records in Yardi.
• Verify documentation before establishing new vendors and ensure compliance.
• Monitor batch uploads and processing schedules for timely payments.
• Investigate payment exceptions and system errors with internal teams.
• Serve as primary contact for vendor payments with Operations and other departments.
• Support process improvements related to Yardi implementation.
