Job summary

Arapahoe County Government seeks an Apprenticeship Coordinator with a Hybrid Work Schedule to lead outreach and act as a technical expert for RAP, YRAP, and high-quality pre-apprenticeships. Responsibilities include coordinating statewide efforts, engaging business executives, and creating resources to help employers start and sustain apprenticeship programs.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Colorado during the position tenure.
• Pre-employment testing including an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
• Education/experience combinations acceptable: HS + 4 yrs, Associates + 2 yrs, or Bachelors in related field.
• Experience in workforce development, recruiting, human resources, business administration, public policy, or related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and develop registered apprenticeship programs as a workforce development tool.
• Serve as apprenticeship SME for RAP, YRAP and high-quality pre-apprenticeships.
• Coordinate statewide apprenticeship efforts with partners such as CDLE and DVRS.
• Consult with business executives and conduct worksite visits to assess viability of RAP as a training tool.
• Create technical assistance resources for employers establishing RAP programs.
• Identify resources available to employer sponsors and develop proposals for implementation.
• Collaborate with Arapahoe/Douglas Works! and CDLE Apprenticeship Hub.
• Represent the Hub at meetings to promote grants and awareness.
• Develop a broad network of stakeholders across public and private sectors.
• Deliver apprenticeship training to interested stakeholders.
