Job summary

Arapahoe County Government is seeking a Public Health Grant Analyst to manage complex grant budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting in a hybrid work setting at Centennial, CO. You will ensure compliance with funding requirements and timelines while coordinating with the Public Health Finance and Operations Division.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and at least 2 years of accounting/finance experience, including fiscal grant management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees awarded grants to ensure compliance with funding requirements, reporting obligations, and timelines; maintains audit readiness.
• Collaborates with Department and Division Leadership in the development of the individual grant budgets including all budget amendments.
• Collaborates with Program staff to track and review program expenditures per the grant budget and/or contract; oversees the creation and maintenance of grant ledgers; and prepares spending forecasting tools for use by program staff and leadership.
• Leads communication efforts with all program staff and leadership, including developing meeting agendas and identifying areas of communication improvement.
• Regularly monitors grant spending to ensure programs are on track to efficiently and effectively spend down the grant award per the grant contract, making appropriate recommendations for financial management of grant award.
• Prepares and reconciles grant invoices utilizing Financial Database reports, prepares and enters adjusting journal entries for any reconciliation discrepancies.
• Serves as primary contact for granting agencies and external partners.
• Recommends and supports process improvements and policy/procedure changes to enhance quality, time, and budget deliverables.
