Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage payments, process invoices, and ensure accurate ledger entries in a fast-paced environment. The role supports AP/AR activities and enforces internal controls around cash disbursements.

Responsibilities include using Concur, reconciling daily payments, and assisting with month-end tasks. The position is contract-based in Miami, with hybrid work and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of AP/AR experience.
• Experience with Nexsure is beneficial.
• Prior insurance industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor payments and AP checks; record in the general ledger.
• Enter/import invoices via Concur and process payments (ACHs, memo checks).
• Reconcile payments daily and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Perform month-end and quarter-end AP duties; prepare 1099 reporting.
• Annually complete 1099 reporting.
