Abercrombie & Kent USA in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to issue payments to vendors and employees, ensuring correct coding and posting in the AP system. You will interact with vendors and staff to confirm payment status and maintain accurate records.

The role requires strong PC and organizational skills, with the ability to process payments by check, ACH, or wire in US dollars and foreign currencies. Hybrid onsite four days weekly.

Formación

• Five+ years of accounts payable or related experience.
• College accounting courses are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate activities to process and pay vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Review invoices for proper approval and GL coding to ensure accurate postings.
• Void checks and issue stop payments when needed.
• Prepare Illinois use tax reports monthly for tax self‑assessment.
• Prepare miscellaneous tax and compliance reports for authorities.
• Prepare month‑end AP journal entries and aging reports.
• Ensure timely payments to avoid penalties and maximize discounts.
• Collect Taxpayer Identification numbers for 1099s.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and support close.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
