Job summary

Kenyon College in Gambier, OH is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement to join the Advancement division. This role leads engagement initiatives, partnerships with volunteers, and helps expand programmatic outreach for alumni and parents.

The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with hands-on event planning, support regional and reunion activities, manage social media engagement, and report metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; experience in alumni relations or a related field preferred.
• Must initiate and maintain donor and volunteer relationships and communications on behalf of the College.
• Experience with event planning and virtual/outreach activities preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to build constituent relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Greek engagement and shape strategy with leadership approval.
• Support regional association events: registrations, virtual invitations, alumni lists, and venues.
• Engage reunion classes and coordinate with annual giving programs.
• Assist athletics event logistics: registrations, invitations, venues, and catering.
• Develop and implement young alumni strategy and outreach in collaboration with leadership.
• Support and expedite social media strategy and engagement metrics reporting.
• Plan and execute virtual events for young alumni and student audiences.
• Capture engagement metrics and report data analytics to the department and division.
