Job summary

Humana's Enterprise AI organization is seeking an AI Engineer to advance Generative AI initiatives, leveraging LLMs to build safe, scalable healthcare solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists, policy experts, and engineers to design, develop, and deploy robust AI modules and pipelines that improve care quality and patient experience.

This role offers a hybrid work model with three days in the Tampa office and two days remote, with opportunities to influence enterprise‑wide AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of applicable experience OR Master's Degree and 1+ year of experience preferably with a focus on developing production-ready AI solutions
• Experience with Agentic AI System Design
• Experience collaborating with MLOps and DevOps teams
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data analysis/data mining tools
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, or Pytorch
• Experience with high performance, large-scale ML systems
• Experience with language modeling with transformers
• Experience with large-scale ETL

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI solutions using Python and ML models.
• Build autonomous AI agents to support reasoning and decision-making in healthcare.
• Embed AI into Humana's systems and collaborate with business teams.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver high-impact AI use cases.
• Develop and maintain advanced AI/ML models and monitoring capabilities.
• Support MLOps/DevOps for production deployment.
• Create reports and presentations for business stakeholders.
