Job summary

Humana is seeking an AI Engineer to contribute to Generative AI initiatives and build robust AI modules and pipelines with state-of-the-art LLMs. You will work with data scientists, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders to deliver safe, scalable AI solutions that improve care quality and outcomes.

You will design autonomous AI agents, integrate AI into Humana’s systems, and ensure compliance and reliability across production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 2+ years of applicable experience or Master's plus 1+ year (production-ready AI solutions)
• Experience with Agentic AI System Design
• Experience with MLOps and DevOps teams
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data analysis/mining tools
• Experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience with high-performance, large-scale ML systems
• Experience with language modeling with transformers
• Experience with large-scale ETL

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions using Python, AI/ML and generative models (LLMs) with ethical, safe, transparent practices
• Build autonomous AI agents using frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI)
• Embed AI into Humana’s systems and workflows and collaborate with business teams
• Implement best practices for deploying and maintaining AI models in production (MLOps)
• Execute data science initiatives from design to implementation
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver AI use cases
• Develop and maintain advanced AI/ML models and algorithms
• Design robust monitoring for performance and reliability
• Create reports, projections, models, and presentations for stakeholders
• Experience with AI coding assistants
