Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) for the Interstate Compact Unit in Tumwater. This full-time, permanent role supports the Deputy Compact Administrator and may telework up to four days per week with occasional in-office reporting.

The position requires data entry across ICAOS/ICOTS systems, confidential administrative duties, and collaboration with state officials. Located at HQ in Tumwater, WA 98501.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three years of clerical experience that required keyboarding and/or typing.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential administrative, secretarial, and office management support to the unit.
• Enter and retrieve data in OMNI, Odyssey, OnBase, WATCH, SharePoint, JABS.
• Manage a multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries from officials and agencies.
• Handle public disclosure requests and unit inventory.
