This contract-to-hire role offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote) with core business hours 8-5. Strong Excel, 1099 knowledge, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• 2+ years leading a team.
• Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong accounts payable knowledge, including invoice processing, credit card transactions, and employee expense reimbursements.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with 1099 processing.
• Ability to balance hands-on processing with leadership and oversight.
• Experience with accounts payable automation tools (e.g., Emburse).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounts payable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals.
• Review and ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain internal controls and support process improvements.
• Perform hands-on AP tasks when needed while managing workload.
• Build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support implementation and optimization of financial systems for AP.
