Job summary

Redwood Logistics seeks an Accounting Manager in Chicago, IL to lead a team of accounting professionals in a hybrid work setting, reporting to the Director of Accounting.

You will oversee month-end close, audits, payroll, ASC 606/842/360, and internal controls while partnering with business units to enable growth. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in a large public company, a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting, and strong Excel skills; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in a large public company.
• Experience with US GAAP and implementing accounting controls.
• ERP experience with NetSuite or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Participate in annual audits and tax reporting.
• Assist FP&A with budgets and forecasts.
• Supervise payroll processing and 401k audits.
• Improve accounting processes and automate where possible.
• Interpret contracts and apply ASC 606, 842, 360.
• Provide leadership and training to accounting staff.
