Job summary

Madison Street Search has partnered with a large, publicly traded organization to identify an Accounting Manager to join their Controllership team in downtown Chicago. The role leads a small team and drives the monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting operations while partnering with senior leadership.

The position will support regulatory and audit requirements, pursue process improvements, and manage various accounting projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting.
• 8+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience including financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop a small Controllership team.
• Lead monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on accounting initiatives.
• Support regulatory and audit requirements and drive process improvements.
