Job summary

LHH is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify an Accounting Manager for a highly visible leadership role in Chicago. This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership, the opportunity to lead a small accounting team, and a clear path for long-term growth.

The role is Hybrid (3 days onsite) with quarterly travel to a Midwest manufacturing facility. Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $130,000, plus a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years of public accounting audit experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience.
• Inventory accounting experience (raw materials, WIP, and finished goods).
• Prior accounting leadership experience.
• Experience in small to mid-sized organizations.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
• Proven month-end close leadership.
• Financial statement preparation and analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Oversee inventory and manufacturing accounting functions.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team.
• Partner with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives.
• Support audits and internal controls.
