Job summary

Capital Lumber is seeking an Accounting Assistant to perform a range of technical and clerical accounting support tasks, including verifying and documenting accounts receivable and payable transactions. The role collaborates with branches to support company goals and operates in a hybrid schedule after onboarding.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Accounting or Finance, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and can work independently or in a team while using Excel and accounting

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Demonstrated history of going above and beyond.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use spreadsheet and word processing programs.

Responsibilities

• Balance daily deposits and apply payments.
• Resolve discrepancies and exceptions.
• Liaise between corporate office and branches on payments.
• Process full-cycle A/R and A/P.
