Job summary

Access Search, Inc. is seeking an Accounting & HR Assistant to support the Controller with a mix of accounting tasks and light HR duties in a small, collaborative office near Buffalo Grove.

The role starts on-site during training, with the option to work from home one day per week as you become familiar with the processes and digital workflows. You will handle AP/AR, vendor records, month-end tasks, onboarding, PTO tracking and payroll data entry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associates Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a small, collaborative environment.
• Ability to learn new accounting, payroll and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals and payments.
• Support accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application and collections.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 preparation.
• Assist the Controller with month-end close, reporting and other accounting projects.
• Provide limited administrative HR support, including onboarding paperwork, PTO tracking and payroll data entry.
• Help transition manual processes to more streamlined digital workflows.
