Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operations products with 100+ years in business, is seeking an Account Representative for a hybrid role. You will enter a two-year training program to gain sales experience, product knowledge and develop skills for a future sales position.

In this role in the field, you will manage relationships, prospect new accounts, plan territory growth, learn our products and processes, and aim to meet sales quotas through our training

Qualifications

• The candidate should be able to travel to customer and associate locations within the assigned geographic area while maintaining required insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers in a designated territory to understand their business needs and identify opportunities.
• Cold Calling & Prospecting: Effectively cold call on potential customers in the territory to grow a book of business.
• Planning & Priority Setting: Plans week in advance to prioritize customer stops and territory growth.
• Product Knowledge: Demonstrate products to potential customers and highlight value; ~80% spend on American-made products.
• Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales quotas by following our proven sales programs and processes.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities in our systems and report cost savings to customers.
