The University of Washington's College of Arts & Sciences is hiring an HR Manager to partner with SoAAHD and the DXArts department, translating policy into workable guidance for leaders. This role balances a significant transactional workload with trusted-advisor responsibilities, supporting faculty, staff, and student employees in a dynamic university environment.

Based on the Seattle campus, the role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with up to two remote days per week, requiring

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of HR experience.
• Experience interpreting employment policies and labor agreements.
• Ability to advise leaders and translate policy into practice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication to non-HR audiences.

• Serve as primary HR partner for SoAAHD and DXArts.
• Advise department leaders on personnel matters and employment actions.
• Manage faculty, student employee, and staff actions with high volume.
• Provide consultation on workforce planning and budgeting.
