Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years higher education experience, or a Master’s with relevant experience.
• Strong advising and coaching skills in curriculum planning and policy.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with on-site Albany office two days/week.

Aufgaben

• Provide accurate advising/coaching as it relates to student curriculum, degree planning, and institutional policy and procedure.
• Advise students in their consideration of educational goals by relating interests, skills, abilities values to careers, the world of work, and the nature and purpose of higher education.
• Track and report on student progress using SIP, dashboards, and/or CRM.
• Advocate for students by making referrals to Excelsior University services (e.g., career readiness, VA/financial aid, tutoring, OWL, COMPsych).
• Contribute to unit and university-wide committees and workgroups as needed.
• Contribute to KPI achievement through performance evaluation and goal-setting.
• Engage in professional development addressing individual growth and needs of the Advising Center.

Ausbildung

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in higher education or teaching

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with relevant professional experience
