Job summary

Excelsior University in Albany, NY seeks Associate Director of Academic Evaluation to oversee evaluators, ensure timely processing, and support transfer credit decisions. This full-time hybrid role requires two days at the home office and remote work the rest of the week.

You will collaborate with the Registrar's Office, Admissions, and academic units to improve policies, training, and service quality while supporting student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of academic evaluation experience or equivalent in academic records, degree auditing, transfer credit evaluation, registrar services, or related higher education functions.
• Experience leading projects, coordinating teams, training staff, or providing supervisory oversight.
• Proficient with student information systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of academic evaluators through training and performance support.
• Monitor evaluator caseloads, workflow, and service metrics to meet goals.
• Guide evaluators on policies, transfer credit, degree requirements, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and evaluation resources.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and professional development for staff.
• Serve as contact for escalated inquiries on evaluation and degree completion.
• Collaborate with faculty and offices on curriculum changes and evaluation processes.
• Participate in committees and cross-functional initiatives to support student success.
• Assist with accreditation reviews and compliance as subject-matter expert.
• Represent Excelsior University at meetings and external discussions.
