Job summary

University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business seeks an Academic Advisor/Sr. Academic Advisor for Undergraduate Programs.

The role includes advising students on educational and career goals, with potential leadership for a student program. A hybrid schedule is available (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) for residents near OH/IN/KY after training. Responsibilities include teaching first-year courses, proactive student advising, and data-informed planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0–1 year academic advising experience for undergraduate advisor.
• 3 years academic advising and/or student success experience for senior advisor.
• Master’s degree considered for additional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more first‑year college courses each academic year.
• Provide academic advising to facilitate degree completion and goal alignment.
• Manage a caseload with proactive outreach and quality student support.
• Maintain advising and enrollment records and coordinate degree requirements with faculty.
• Utilize advising technologies for outreach and equity in student success.
• Participate in professional development and team collaboration within UC advising community.
