Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring for a software engineer to develop and integrate software for Hardware-In-the-Loop flight simulators used in missile testing. The role emphasizes collaboration with weapon system designers to meet requirements and support software delivery for warfighters.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related STEM field.
2+ years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control HWIL facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
Determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities and ensuring hardware/software standards.
Design and implement build procedures supporting hardware/software product development.
Perform software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
May train software developers in configuration management tools and software quality practices.
