Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to act as a technical SME for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls, and to drive OEM opportunities from concept through deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field plus hands-on experience in food retail/foodservice environments and a strong ability to translate customer needs into Copeland control solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development / engineering / field service / technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and pull in Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering where needed.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities including hardware BOM, integrations, control panels, programming files and distributed controllers.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Customer focused approach with emphasis on land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle
