Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to act as the trusted partner for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls across food retail and foodservice sectors. You will collaborate with sales, solution architects, and product teams to define high-level technical requirements and enable successful deployments.

You will bring a BS in engineering or related field, 2 years in the relevant industry, and strong analytical and communication skills, with travel up to 50% to support customers

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including E3, Site Supervisor, and distributed controls.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in the food retail/foodservice industry or similar.
• Effective analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical SME for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer engagements and pull in Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high-level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM, integrations, control panels, and field services.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement, and expand phases of the sales cycle.
