Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in the United States to support OEM customers. This role focuses on refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls, with collaboration across multiple internal teams to ensure successful specification, application, and deployment of Copeland controls and services.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering or related field, 2 years of relevant experience in food retail/foodservice, and hands-on knowledge of Copeland control systems and building

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice (E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls).
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in food retail/foodservice or similar industry.
• Travel 40-50% is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer engagements and serve as technical sales and OEM application expert; pull in Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM, third-party integrations, control panels, base programming files, distributed controllers, and field services.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls, integrations and/or other services.
• Customer-focused approach with emphasis on land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
