Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Cold Chain Technical Sales team. You will act as a technical partner to OEM customers, learning Copeland controls portfolio and applying them to end-user applications.

You will collaborate with Account Executives and cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering and Services to ensure successful specification, implementation and expansion of Copeland controls and services.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in the food retail/foodservice industry or similar.
• Travel willingness (40-50%)

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and pull in Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities (BOM, integrations, base programming files, panels, controllers, field services).
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
