Job summary

UL Solutions in Plano, TX seeks an experienced engineer to manage HVAC-related projects including testing, compliance, and client coordination. You will determine project scope, plan investigations, review specifications, and guide lab activities while traveling to client sites as needed.

The role demands strong communication with customers, robust problem-solving, and expertise in ISO/IEC 17025, lean six sigma, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC design, testing, or manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications by analyzing client input, available data, and product construction.
• Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
• Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
• Coordinates laboratory activities and directs technicians; may sign as Reviewer of record.
• Travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests and promote services.
