Job summary

UL Solutions in Plano, TX is seeking an onsite test technician for a 3rd shift role (11pm-7:30am). You will set up and run equipment, read drawings, document results, and collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure accurate testing.

The position requires HVAC training and EPA Universal certification, plus mechanical/electrical aptitude and MS Office proficiency. Prior HVAC testing experience is preferred; shift flexibility is needed.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational training or associate degree.
• EPA Universal certification.
• HVAC installation, repair or testing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work one of the above shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment for client projects.
• Build and adapt test setups for performance testing.
• Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams to guide tests.
• Record, document and report test results and observations.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and laboratory area.
• Coordinate with engineers and customers during testing.
