Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Project Engineer to determine project scope, plan investigations, and set specifications by analyzing client input, data, and product construction. You may travel to client sites to witness tests and promote services.

The role involves communicating with clients about UL procedures, costs, and timelines, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with standards. Training is provided and eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Open to fresh graduates and candidates with experience.
• Approximately 0–2+ years of experience.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Training will be provided.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available data, and product construction.
• Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites and initiates communication with clients to promote and explain benefits of services.
• Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
• Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
